So, since hitting my mid 20’s I’ve always wanted to run a marathon, and initially the plan was to do one before I was 30. However a combination of Crohns disease related illness, having kids and general fitness related apathy has seen the deadline pushed to 35.
Well, having hit 35 this weekend (the weekend of the London Marathon) and never having even tried to meet this goal I figure it’s time to get my shit together at last.
Now, this may well not happen, but I’m going to ‘try’ to actually start to get fit. This is something I’ve said many times in the past, and never followed through, but I’m going to give it another go. I’m going to set myself realistic goals, and not going to rush things.
INITIAL PLAN IS TO BE FITTER IN 1 MONTHS TIME THAN I AM NOW!
That doesn’t sound too tough, and should be easy to achieve I reckon.
I’m already getting some fitness back with my regular skateboard sessions, and there’s a new weekly over 30’s session hopefully going down at Bay66 in London which will give me another night of regular exercise a week.
Next stop - wasting time on the internet looking at various running plans etc . . . .
